Dawn Of A New Era

It's been a bit of a slow start to the new year. But I always say it's better to start slow, and work up steady, then go to fast and trip over your own feet. I'd consider much of January to be mostly just working on the formulations to the method that will allow me to act in accordance to the madness that is going to be my upcoming projects. However, that being said the formulations have been made, the madness has been stepped into, and the projects have been planned. And so naturally we have for you the beginnings of said productions.

Since I don't want to be an ego ridden douche, I'm going to proceed to go over all of my awesome collaboration projects I have recently started up, and who they are with, and what the general plan is. After that I'll jump into FRESH NEW Jenova Project tracks. But don't worry, there's gonna be plenty of FRESH NEW tracks for you to listen to until we get there, cause I've been a busy bee working my butt off getting new music out with a few new collaboration projects.

The first up is the ridiculously enormous sounding Izkrist. Created in collaboration with Justin Jolly, a graphics designer and musician who goes by the name of Hypnotic Jerk for his own solo projects, it truly pushes the boundaries of both of our musical capabilities. Forged in apocalyptic anthems and heavy distortion, and a fervent love for a schizophrenic amount of different styles, the only consistencies to be found in this project is quality and extremity. We have acted fast, and you can already find us on all the major outlets such as Facebook, Soundcloud, and Bandcamp. We have two tracks out, including the epicly titled "Gladiator" (which can be found by clicking on the picture to the side) for free download, and we have more in the works with me planning on recording vocals for our next track tomorrow.

Next up is Transhumanist, a smooth diverse electronic project that fuses a love for 80's post-punk, new wave, and industrial with the futuristic sounds of electro, house, and dubstep. A truly retro future project, that not only sounds unique, but also offers a varied lyrical presentation touching on themes of intergalactic travel, mind boggling technology, and the loss of humanity as we progress further into the technological "post-human" age. We also have two singles out, both for free download, available through Soundcloud and Bandcamp.

Last, but not least, I have a long awaited return of Jenova Project. Getting ready to finally complete the Shadowalker saga, the final album in the trilogy entitled Death Of An Angel is currently in vocal recording and production sessions. As the tracks are finished, and artwork is designed by the lovely Bailee F, the tracks will be released to the public for $1 for high quality download on my Bandcamp, or for free streaming on Soundcloud in mid quality mp3. Once the album is completed, all 17 tracks released in single format, they will be compiled and released in an album, discounted in price for only $10 if you buy the whole package (digital release). The first track I have for you is entitled Walk In The Light. It will be the sixth track on the album, and is a song that features themes of dangereous youthful attraction to chaos, disorder, and destruction, and our need to overcome these urges to prevent a pathway that will lead to our eventual self-destruction.

The album will complete the Shadowalker saga, as mentioned above, and will complete the "synth pop" era of Jenova Project, and will allow me to continue onto releasing more recent productions that I have done in the last several years. As many of you know all of the releases that have been put out by Jenova Project so far are me completing vocals to albums I recorded prior to 2011, and the acquiring of a new studio and gear, as well as before me going to recording college or educating myself on mixing. So I'm very excited to be progressing past this old material, that I very much did not want to ignore or post-pone releasing any longer, and getting into the newer material which I believe is far more complex and detailed in my playing, mixing and production. Expect a new era of Jenova Project to be beginning before the end of this year, as I transition into the releasing of the far more complete and recent albums that I have stored in my archive.
